PM Modi to Release Rs 350 Coin of Guru Gobind Singh Today

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release a commemorative coin in honour of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 13, 2019, at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, marking the Birth Anniversary of the revered spiritual leader. The Prime Minister will also address a select gathering during this significant event.


Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Tenth Guru of Sikhs, has been a profound source of inspiration for many, with his teachings and ideals leaving a lasting impact. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously participated in the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj in Patna on January 5, 2017. On that occasion, he released a commemorative postage stamp to honor the revered Guru.

During his address, the Prime Minister highlighted Guru Gobind Singh's unique efforts to unite the country through the Khalsa sect, emphasizing that the five PanchPyaras belonged to different parts of India. He underscored the Guru's commitment to placing knowledge at the core of his teachings.

This release marks the inaugural commemorative coin for the year 2019, with expectations of several more being issued throughout the year. The gesture reflects the government's commitment to honouring and preserving the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of India.
