Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for 'First Flag Hosting Day' Coin

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened the bookings for the much-awaited ₹75 commemorative coin issued to mark First Flag Hoisting Day. The bookings are open from December 12, 2019, and will continue until January 15, 2020.

Earlier on December 30, 2018, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, along with the Lt. Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri Devendra Kumar Joshi, unveiled the ₹75 coin and a special postage stamp to mark the 75th anniversary of the historic moment when Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose first hoisted the Tricolour at Port Blair in 1943.

The ₹75 coin is currently priced at ₹2,830 for the Proof Set and ₹2,655 for the UNC Set, which comes in a folder or blister packaging.
