Kolkata Mint Starts Bookings for Srila Prabhupad Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad. The booking period commenced on March 9, 2024, and is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, on February 8, 2024, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the event as part of World Vaishnav Convention 2024 program organized by Gaudiya Mission at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The ₹150 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,087. The UNC Set is not open for booking yet. Furthermore, the Proof Set, which includes an MDF/Wooden Box, is also awaiting availability for booking.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the 2550th Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav and released the ₹100 commemorative coin and postal stamp on the auspicious occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti today, on 21st April at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
