Join the 16th National Numismatic Exhibition this February
The much-anticipated 16th National Numismatic Exhibition (NNE) 2025, Asia's largest showcase of coins, banknotes, and stamps, is set to take place on February 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2025. Organized by Marudhar Arts, India’s leading numismatic auction house, this event promises to be a landmark occasion for numismatists and enthusiasts alike. The venue for this grand gathering is Shikshak Sadan, KG Road, Majestic, Bengaluru 560002.
The exhibition will also host the Floor and Real-Time Live Auction on February 22, 2025, starting at 11:30 AM. Interested participants can register at Marudhar Arts to join the bidding, which features an exclusive array of collectibles.
Over 100 dealers from across India will participate in this prestigious event, offering a wide variety of items for sale. In addition to the dealers’ booths, collectors will display their prized collections, providing a unique opportunity to view remarkable numismatic and philatelic items. The exhibition will also include academic sessions led by experts, covering topics such as numismatics, philately, and notaphily, offering valuable insights for enthusiasts and scholars alike.
Revisiting Last Year’s Milestone
During the 15th NNE in 2024, Marudhar Arts introduced a ticketing system to streamline the event and enhance the overall experience for serious collectors. This initiative aimed to discourage individuals attending solely to sell their coins and banknotes, often misled by misinformation spread via social media and YouTube channels. The move was widely appreciated as it helped maintain the integrity and focus of the exhibition.
Shri Rajendra Maru, the visionary behind Marudhar Arts and current President of the Karnataka Numismatic Society (KNS), took the unprecedented step of donating all proceeds from the ticketing system to KNS. This act of generosity underscored his commitment to fostering the numismatic community.
Beyond his contributions to the exhibition, Shri Rajendra Maru has established a state-of-the-art numismatic library at Marudhar Arts. This facility offers enthusiasts, researchers, and scholars a treasure trove of information and references in one location. The library not only supports ongoing research but also nurtures a deeper understanding of the rich history of coins and banknotes.
Despite his busy schedule, Shri Maru also creates educational videos on coins and banknotes, sharing valuable insights with the wider numismatic community. His dedication extends beyond formal events, as he often meets with collectors and enthusiasts at Marudhar Arts. These interactions include discussions, sharing opinions, and even casual conversations over tea or coffee. Shri Maru’s open-door approach exemplifies his passion for connecting with and supporting numismatists at every level.
The above image captures a memorable moment when we visited Shri Maru at his office for an enriching discussion on various aspects of numismatics. The conversation delved into rare coins, banknotes, and the evolving trends in the field. To top it off, sharing lunch with Shri Maru added a personal touch to the meeting, showcasing his warmth and hospitality. It was an inspiring experience to learn from his vast expertise and to witness his unwavering commitment to the numismatic fraternity.
Details for 2025 Ticketing System
The ticketing system will continue for the 16th NNE. The entry fees are ₹200 for a one-day pass and ₹500 for a three-day pass, both inclusive of a non-transferable ‘Entry Band.’ In the event of loss, a new purchase will be required.
To make the event accessible to more enthusiasts, free entry bands will be available on February 19, 2025, through online registration. These can be collected at the venue by presenting the registration number.
Exclusive Benefits for KNS and KPS Members
Members of the Karnataka Numismatic Society (KNS) and Karnataka Philatelic Society (KPS) can enter the exhibition for free by showing their membership cards. This shows the organizer's efforts to support and encourage the numismatic and philatelic community.
Dealers interested in booking a stall at the 16th NNE can reach out to the Marudhar Arts team at info@MarudharArts.com.
The 16th NNE 2025 is not just an exhibition but a celebration of history, culture, and art through numismatics and philately. With its rich legacy, Marudhar Arts continues to set benchmarks in hosting events that cater to professionals, collectors, and enthusiasts alike.
