Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Coins
The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the first Samadhi Divas of Sant Shiromani Digambar Jainacharya Vidyasagar Mahamuniraj. The bookings are open from March 18, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.
The ₹100 coin is currently issued only in the Proof Set, packaged in a Folder or Blister option. Additionally, the UNC Set with a Folder or Blister option and the Proof Set with an MDF or Wooden Box may be issued later.
Earlier, the Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, released the ₹100 commemorative coin during his visit to Chandragiri, Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh, on February 6, 2025.
The ₹100 coin, included in the Proof Set and available in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,698. The UNC Set in Folder/Blister packaging and the MDF/Wooden Box edition may be available soon, as mentioned above.
These coin sets can be purchased either at the Mint Premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint. For further details and updates, please refer to the "Current and Upcoming Bookings" section.
Update: The UNC Set in Folder/Blister packaging is now available for booking at a price of ₹3,420, as listed on the Mint's official website on March 29, 2025.
