Shri Pralhad Joshi Unveiled ₹108 Coin on Shri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji
The Hon'ble Union Minister, Shri Pralhad Joshi (Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of India), unveiled the ₹108 commemorative coin in honor of Shri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji, in the divine presence of Shri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji, on August 30, 2025, at Sri Uttaradi Math, Kachiguda, Bhagyanagar, Hyderabad.
The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Justice Shri P. S. Dinesh Kumar, Presiding Officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal and former Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Also present was Dr. Jaiteerth R. Joshi, CEO & Managing Director of BrahMos Aerospace, along with several other distinguished dignitaries, scholars, and devotees. Together, they paid tribute to the revered Sri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji and honored his enduring spiritual legacy.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi said, “Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji was a great saint who dedicated his life to the service of society and the propagation of Sanatan Dharma. His spiritual leadership and teachings have inspired countless devotees across the country. It is in recognition of his immense contribution that the Modi Government, under the initiative of Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and Shri Samir Kagalkar, took special interest in ensuring the release of this commemorative coin.” He further emphasized that such initiatives not only honor revered saints but also help preserve their legacy for future generations.

He added, “It is our responsibility to preserve Sanatan Dharma along with its rituals. There was a time when Brahmins was viewed in a negative light. At that time, Sri Satyapramoda Teertha went from village to village, dispelling the misconceptions that people held about Acharyas, Brahmins, and Sanatan Dharma.”
Shri Joshi also highlighted India’s growing economic strength, stating that the country has now become the fourth-largest economy in the world and is poised to soon move up to the third position. He cautioned that during this phase of rapid growth, the leading global powers may attempt various challenges against India. However, he reassured that the nation is in safe hands—economically, militarily, and defensively.
This commemorative coin marked the 19th release of the year 2025, minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai. It also became the first-ever coin with a denomination of ₹108 to be issued in the history of Republic India’s coinage.
