The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin   to mark the 75th Foundation Day of  Employees’ State Insurance Corporation . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on February 23, 2026, confirming this coin. The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, established under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. It administers the ESI Scheme, which provides comprehensive social security benefits including medical care, sickness benefits, maternity benefits, disability compensation, and dependants’ benefits to insured workers and their families. The India Government Mint, Hyderabad has commenced bookings for the commemorative coins issued in UNC Sets to mark Rani Channamma , NHPC Ltd , and Partagali Math . The bookings are open from February 17, 2026, and are subject to limited availability. These commemorative coins are being issued in UNC Sets with Booklet packaging. Earlier, the bookings for these themes were offered in Proof Sets with Booklet and Cardboard (Kappa) Box packaging. The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the  100 years of Ol Chiki Script by Pandit Raghunath Murmu . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on February 9, 2026, confirming this coin. The Ol Chiki script was created by Pandit Raghunath Murmu in 1925 to provide the Santhali language with its own distinct and scientifically designed writing system. It was developed to accurately represent the phonetic structure of Santhali, which earlier scripts failed to capture effectively. Ol Chiki enabled widespread literacy among the Santhal community and became a powerful symbol of cultural identity, self-respect, and linguistic independence. Today, it remains central to Santhali literature, education, and cultural expression. The  metal composition  of the ₹100 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc. Earlier on January 27, 2026, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, released the ₹60 coin marking the sixty years of refining operations of  Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) at the India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 event held in Goa. The Government of Punjab will celebrate the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji on a grand scale through year-long events to be held from February 2026 to February 2027. The celebrations will be guided by the blessings and advice of saints, eminent personalities, scholars, and religious sects. Punjab Finance Minister Shri Harpal Singh Cheema announced that a commemorative coin dedicated to Sri Guru Ravidass Ji will also be released as part of these celebrations.
