Hyderabad Mint Begins Bookings for Andhra University Coin Sets
The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the Centenary Year of Andhra University. The bookings are open from April 28, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability.
Earlier, on April 27, 2026, the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, unveiled the ₹100 coin to mark the occasion. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Governor Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri K. Ram Mohan Naidu, former Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Governor of Odisha Dr. K. Hari Babu, and former India cricketer Shri Sachin Tendulkar were present among other distinguished dignitaries.
The ₹100 coin has currently been issued in a Proof Set with Booklet and Cardboard (Kappa) box packaging.
The ₹100 coin in the Proof Set with the Booklet package is priced at ₹7,790, while the Proof Set with the Cardboard (Kappa) Box is priced at ₹7,880.
The above pricing is the initial issue price and is subject to revision. However, due to significant fluctuations in silver prices, the mint may review and revise the prices on a day-to-day basis.
These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
