Hyderabad Mint Commences Bookings for SRCC Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark  Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce. The bookings are open from September 7, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, on September 5, 2026, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the occasion, during his visit to the college campus in New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The release ceremony was attended by the Union Minister of Education, Shri Pralhad Joshi; Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman, SRCC Governing Body; Prof. Simrit Kaur, Principal, SRCC; Shri Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV; and other distinguished guests.

The ₹100 coin has currently been issued in a Proof Set with Booklet and Cardboard (Kappa) box packaging.

The ₹100 coin in the Proof Set with the Booklet package is priced at ₹8,030, while the Proof Set with the Cardboard (Kappa) Box is priced at ₹8,150.

Among the recent issues, the India Government Mints have predominantly issuing coin sets only in Proof, with UNC not being issued. It remains to be seen whether this new issue will also be made available as an UNC Set for collectors.

It is to be noted that the above pricing is the initial issue price and is subject to revision. However, owing to significant fluctuations in silver prices, the mint may review and revise the prices on a day-to-day basis.

These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
