Shri Sanjay Seth Releases ₹100 Coin on Military Nursing Service

The Minister of State for Defence, Shri Sanjay Seth, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Centenary Celebration of the Military Nursing Service today, September 30, 2026, at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

The ceremony marked the culmination of a year-long commemoration celebrating the rich legacy of the Military Nursing Service.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh; Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain; Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja; Lieutenant General C. G. Muralidharan; Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Shri Manish Tripathi; along with senior officers of the Armed Forces, ex-servicemen and other distinguished guests graced the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Seth acknowledged the exemplary service, professionalism and selfless dedication of MNS officers and highlighted their vital role in supporting the Armed Forces Medical Services and the nation during war, natural calamities and peacetime.

Shri Sanjay Seth also said the occasion was an opportunity to remember the contributions of the brave women of the Military Nursing Service, who have continuously provided strength and support to serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families through their spirit of service and human compassion. He described it as a privilege to honour the dedication and service of these women in the military domain. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and salutations to all the brave women of the MNS for their century-long journey of service.

Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja, appreciated the professional commitment, compassion and unwavering dedication of MNS officers towards their patients, and their invaluable contribution to the Armed Forces Medical Services over the past century.

This release marks the 12th commemorative coin of the year 2026, minted by the India Government Mint, Kolkata. The bookings for the commemorative sets are expected to open soon on the official India Government Mint website and will be updated under the current and upcoming bookings section.

Hyderabad Mint Commences Bookings for SRCC Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark  Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce . The bookings are open from September 7, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on September 5, 2026, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the occasion, during his visit to the college campus in New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
