The ₹10 coin in the UNC Set Blister/Folder pack from Hyderabad Mint was issued at a price of ₹381 in December 2016. However, the above images are from the 2025 restrike issued at ₹740 over the counter at Hyderabad Mint.

New Commemorative Coin: Mahanayak Uttam Kumar

The Government of India will issue a ₹100 commemorative coin  as part of the Centenary Celebration of  Mahanayak Uttam Kumar . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 3, 2026, confirming this coin. Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, born Arun Kumar Chatterjee on September 3, 1926, was one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Indian cinema. Revered as the “Mahanayak” of Bengali cinema, he captivated audiences with his remarkable acting, charismatic screen presence and versatility. His unforgettable partnership with Suchitra Sen created some of the most iconic films of Bengali cinema. With classics such as Saptapadi, Harano Sur, Nayak and Antony Firingee, Uttam Kumar left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire generations. He passed away on July 24, 1980, but remains an immortal figure in Indian cinema. The metal composition of the ₹100 coin will consist of Pure Silver (99.9%). PM Modi Releases ₹100 Coin on Shri Ram College of Commerce

The Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce  (SRCC), University of Delhi, today, on September 5, 2026, during his participation at the college campus in New Delhi, coinciding with Teachers' Day. The release ceremony was attended by the Union Minister of Education, Shri Pralhad Joshi; Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman, SRCC Governing Body; Prof. Simrit Kaur, Principal, SRCC; Shri Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV; and other distinguished guests.
