The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on April 22, 2026, confirming this coin. Hyderabad Mint Begins Bookings for Andhra University Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Centenary Year of Andhra University . The bookings are open from April 28, 2026, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on April 27, 2026,  the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, unveiled the  ₹100 coin  to mark the occasion .  The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Governor Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri K. Ram Mohan Naidu, former Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Governor of Odisha Dr. K.
