The Government of India will issue a ₹75 commemorative coin to mark the Platinum Jubilee of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on August 12, 2025, confirming this coin. The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) is the first and oldest IIT in India, established in 1951 in Kharagpur, West Bengal.
