₹175 coin of IIT Roorkee will be Released on its Foundation Day

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (abbreviated IIT Roorkee) will be celebrating their 175th Year Foundation Day at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Roorkee on November 25, 2022. A commemorative coin of ₹175 denomination will be issued on this special occasion. Earlier, a gazette notification has been issued on June 27, 2022.

In their social media post, IIT Roorkee invited everyone stating as "We extremely delighted to invite you to the 175th year Foundation day ceremony of IIT Roorkee on November 25, 2022 (1847-2022) to witness the journey of imparting technical education and contribution in the development of the society. May this journey of success and learning continue for many more centuries to come, We Look forward to your gracious presence".

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
