Lalaji Maharaj to be Honoured with ₹150 Coin and Postage Stamp
The Government of India will release a ₹150 commemorative coin and a postage stamp as part of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Lalaji Maharaj, the Adi Guru of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM), at Kanha Shantivanam, SRCM Heartfulness Meditation Center World, Hyderabad.
The release will take place on February 2, 2023, marking a significant moment in honour of a spiritual leader who dedicated his life to the evolution of human consciousness and service to humanity.
The event will be attended by Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications, Shri Devusingh Fesingbhai Chauhan, who will address the gathering of devotees and dignitaries. The celebrations will span a week from 25th January to 3rd February, expected to attract over 1,00,000 participants from around the world, with millions more joining virtually.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’ remarked, “This special occasion marks the 150th Birth Anniversary of Lalaji Maharaj, whose blessings guide the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in promoting spiritual growth and serving humanity.”
The Ministry of Finance has already issued the gazette notification for the release of the ₹150 commemorative coin on October 25, 2022.
The issuance of the coin and stamp will serve as a tribute to Lalaji Maharaj’s enduring legacy and the global impact of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, symbolizing the nation’s respect for spiritual leaders and their contribution to human development.
Update:
The coin will be officially issued on January 26, 2023, making it the first commemorative coin of 2023, reportedly minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai, while the postage stamp will be released on February 2, 2023, coinciding with the main anniversary event.
