Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Rath Yatra Souvenir Tokens

The Kolkata Mint opened the bookings of souvenir tokens in Gold and Silver on occasion of 'Rath Yatra 2023' festival from 20-June-2023.

This year, the Puri Rath Yatra will take place on June 20 and culminate on June 28, 2023. The souvenir tokens features the image of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra with the Puri temple at the background.

The Gold tokens are issued in two variants, 10 grams priced at ₹65,663.02 and 8 Grams priced at ₹52,581.29. However, the Silver tokens are issued only in 50 grams priced at ₹4,235.22 as on 20-June-2023.

In 2010, Kolkata Mint had issued a silver 20 grams souvenir token to celebrate the Rath Yatra. In 2018, a ₹1000 and ₹10 coins were issued to commemorate Shree Jagannath Nabakalebara.  

The souvenir tokes are available at Kolkata Mint Premises as well as at the India Govt. Mint official website.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
