Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Rath Yatra Souvenir Tokens

The India Government Mint, Kolkata opened the bookings of souvenir tokens in Gold and Silver on occasion of 'Rath Yatra 2023' festival from June 20, 2023.

This year, the Puri Rath Yatra will take place on June 20 and culminate on June 28, 2023. The souvenir tokens features the image of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra with the Puri temple at the background.

The gold tokens are available in two variants: a 10-gram token priced at ₹65,663.02 and an 8-gram token priced at ₹52,581.29. The silver token is issued only in a 50-gram variant, priced at ₹4,235.22 as of June 20, 2023.

Earlier, in 2010, the India Government Mint, Kolkata issued a 20-gram silver souvenir token to mark the Rath Yatra, and in 2018, ₹1,000 and ₹10 coins were released to mark Shree Jagannath Nabakalebara Festival.

These souvenir tokes can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
