Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Saint Meera Bai Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened the bookings for the ₹525 commemorative coin issued to mark the 525th Birth Anniversary of Saint Meera Bai. The bookings are open from December 15, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled a ₹525 coin and a postage stamp to mark the event during his participation in the ‘Sant Mirabai Janmotsav’ in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on November 23, 2023. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya and Shri Brajesh Pathak, and Mathura MP Smt. Hema Malini were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.

The ₹525 coin, included in the Proof Set and available in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,513. While the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,273 and is yet to be open for booking, the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box is also awaiting availability for booking.

This marks the first issuance of a ₹525 coin denomination in the history of Republic India Coinage. These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened bookings for the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box, priced at ₹4,341, as on February 4, 2024.

Hyderabad Mint Opens Bookings for Sri Sathya Sai Baba Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Birth Centenary of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba . The bookings are open from November 19, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier in the day, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the event at Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. New Commemorative Coin: Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the ' Birth Centenary of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba '. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on April 22, 2025, confirming this coin. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was a revered spiritual leader and humanitarian, known for his teachings on love, unity of religions, and selfless service. Born in 1926 in Puttaparthi, India, he inspired millions through his message of "Love All, Serve All" and established numerous free hospitals, schools, and water projects to uplift humanity. His legacy continues to guide people worldwide in living a life of compassion, truth, and devotion.
