Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Saint Meera Bai Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the ₹525 commemorative coin issued to mark the 525th Birth Anniversary of Saint Meera Bai. The booking period began on December 15, 2023, and is subject to limited availability.

The ₹525 coin, included in the Proof Set and available in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹3,513. While the UNC Set is priced at ₹3,273 and is yet to be open for booking, the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box is also awaiting availability for booking.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled a commemorative coin of ₹525 to mark the 525th Birth Anniversary of Saint Meera Bai during his participation in the ‘Sant Mirabai Janmotsav’ in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on 23rd November 2023.

This marks the first issuance of a ₹525 coin denomination in the history of Republic India Coinage. These coin sets are available for purchase either at the Mint Premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint. Update 04-February-2024: The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has opened bookings for the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box, priced at ₹4,341.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
