New Commemorative Coin: Shri Ram Chandra Ji of Shahjahanpur
The Government of India will issue a commemorative coin of ₹125 to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Shri Ram Chandra Ji of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on January 31, 2024, confirming this coin. Shri Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur, affectionately known as Babuji, was born on April 30, 1899. He is the founder of a spiritual organisation called Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM), established in honour of his Master, Shri Ram Chandra Ji of Fatehgarh, in 1945. The metal composition of the ₹125 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc. The coin will weigh 35 grams and have a diameter of 44 mm, featuring 200 serrations along the edge. The coin's description is as follows.
