PM Modi to Release ₹20 Coin at Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024

The Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is set to release the ₹20 commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the completion of '20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat Summit' at the inauguration ceremony of the 'Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024' at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on January 10, 2024.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, will be joined by global leaders at the event, including President José Ramos-Horta of Timor-Leste, Prime Minister Petr Fiala of the Czech Republic, President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, among others.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, hosted by the Government of Gujarat, is a key international event that brings together global leaders, businesses, and investors to explore economic opportunities, drive innovation, and promote sustainable development. The summit serves as a platform to showcase Gujarat's potential and attract investments, contributing to the state's and the country's economic growth.

Shri S J Haider, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Mines), announced to the media, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, that a ₹20 commemorative coin and a postage stamp of equivalent value will be unveiled on the opening day of the summit.

On January 2, 2024, the Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification regarding the ₹20 denomination commemorative coin, as previously posted on this blog. This marks the first commemorative coin for the year 2024.
