Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Shri Harakhchand Nahata Coin Sets
The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for ₹25 commemorative coin issued to mark the 25th Death Anniversary of Shri Harakhchand Nahata. The bookings began today, May 13, 2025, and are available in limited quantities.
Earlier, the Hon'ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Bagde, along with Jainacharya Shri Jin Piyush Sagar Surishwarji, unveiled a ₹25 commemorative coin in honor of Shri Harakhchand Nahata today, on February 2, 2025, at Harakhmani Estate in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The ₹25 commemorative coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in a Folder/Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option.
The Proof Set is priced at ₹7,010, and the UNC Set at ₹6,740, both offered in folder/blister packaging. The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹7,390.
This coin is meticulously crafted from pure silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams, with a diameter of 44 mm and featuring 200 serrations along the edge.
This coin is a great addition for collectors interested in Jainism and notable Jain figures. However, with new bookings coming out almost every week, it’s been a bit much for those trying to keep up with every release.
