The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for ₹150 commemorative coin issued to celebrate 150 Years of India Meteorological Department (IMD). The bookings began today, June 17, 2025, and are available in limited quantities. Earlier, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unveiled a ₹150 commemorative coin and a postal stamp to celebrate 150 Years of India Meteorological Department (IMD), on January 14, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The ₹150 commemorative coin is available in both Proof and UNC sets, presented in a Folder/Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option. The Proof Set is priced at ₹7,325, and the UNC Set at ₹7,135, both offered in folder/blister packaging. The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹7,530. The Union Minister for Finance, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, inaugurated the new corporate office of the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), along with the Union Minister of State for Finance, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, at the World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, on June 9, 2025. The Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is schedule to unveil a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the commissioning of the  Jammu–Srinagar Railway Line , featuring the iconic  Chenab Bridge  during the flagging off of the first train between Katra in Jammu and Srinagar on June 6, 2025. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to inaugurate the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Project (USBRL) on April 19, 2025, which includes the world’s tallest Chenab Rail Bridge and the Anji Khad Bridge.
