New Commemorative Coin: Sri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji

The Government of India will issue a ₹108  commemorative coin  to mark the 108th Birth Anniversary of Sri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on August 18, 2025, confirming this coin. Sri Satya Pramoda Teertha Swamiji was the 41st pontiff of the Shri Uttaradi Math, a revered institution in the Dvaita Vedanta tradition established by Shri Madhvacharya. He was deeply respected for his scholarship, devotion, and commitment to preserving and propagating the teachings of Madhva philosophy. Swamiji’s spiritual guidance and leadership strengthened the faith of countless devotees, and his life remains an inspiration for simplicity, discipline, and dedication to dharma. The  metal composition  of the ₹108 coin will consist of Pure Silver (99.9%). The coin will weigh 40 grams and have a diameter of 44 mm, featuring 200 serrations along the edge. In presence of Jain Acharya Shri Mahashraman ji, the ₹100  commemorative coin  was released to mark the  105th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Shri Mahapragya  during his Chaturmas at Koba, Ahmedabad on August 17, 2025. The event was graced by Shri Rajesh Kumar, Regional Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Sunil Singhi from Jain Vishwa Bharti and Jain Vishwa Bharti Sansthan, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Spiritual discourses, cultural programs, and special prayers marked the occasion, reflecting the values and legacy of Acharya Shri Mahapragya. Later in the evening, the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, released the coin at PHD House, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi. The Government of India will issue a ₹75  commemorative coin  to mark the Platinum Jubilee of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on August 12, 2025, confirming this coin. The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) is the first and oldest IIT in India, established in 1951 in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Hyd Mint Opens Bookings for Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Birth Centenary of Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj . The bookings are open from August 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on June 28, 2025, the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the ₹100 commemorative coin and postal stamp to mark the event at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.  The ceremony was graced by the august presence of Rashtrasant Paramparacharya Shri Pragya Sagar Ji Muniraj, and was also attended by the Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat; along with other ministers and distinguished dignitaries. The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the ₹100 commemorative coin  and postage stamp to mark the Birth Centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Swaminathan , the pioneering architect of India’s Green Revolution. He also unveiled a special centenary edition of Prof. M.S. Swaminathan’s book In Search of Biohappiness. The ceremony was held at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium in New Delhi on August 7, 2025. The Sri Ramana Maharshi Heritage (SRMH) has announced the release of the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Sri Ramanasramam Centenary . The event will take place on September 14, 2025, at the Downtown Event Center in Fremont, California. The President of Sri Ramanasramam, Tiruvannamalai, Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, will be releasing the coin.
