Hyd Mint Opens Bookings for Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the Birth Centenary of Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj. The bookings are open from August 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, on June 28, 2025, the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the ₹100 commemorative coin and postal stamp to mark the event at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by the august presence of Rashtrasant Paramparacharya Shri Pragya Sagar Ji Muniraj, and was also attended by the Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat; along with other ministers and distinguished dignitaries.

The ₹100 coin is currently issued in the Proof Set and UNC Set packaged with a Folder or Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option.

The ₹100 coin in the Proof Set is priced at ₹7,170, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹7,020, both offered in folder or blister packaging.  The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹7,690.

This commemorative coin is composed of 99.9% pure silver, weighs 40 grams, measures 44 mm in diameter, and features 200 serrations along its edge. It is also the first pure silver coin to be issued by the Hyderabad Mint. 

These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
