Hyderabad Mint Opens Bookings for Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the Birth Centenary of Dr. M.S. Swaminathan. The bookings are open from August 28, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.

Earlier, on August 7, 2025, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released the commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the occasion at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium in New Delhi.

The ₹100 coin is currently issued in the Proof Set and UNC Set packaged with a Folder or Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option.

The ₹100 coin in the Proof Set is priced at ₹4,290, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹4,110, both offered in folder or blister packaging.  The Proof Set with an MDF box is priced at ₹4,810.

This theme not only honors Dr. Swaminathan’s monumental legacy but also seeks to reignite momentum toward the Green Revolution, and is expected to generate considerable interest among collectors and enthusiasts.

These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
