Mumbai Mint Commences Bookings for Vande Mataram Coin Sets
The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has commenced the bookings for the ₹150 commemorative coin issued to mark the 150 years of Vande Mataram. The bookings are open from November 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability.
Earlier in the day, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the event at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi. The event was graced by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta; the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena; the Union Minister of Culture & Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat; and several other eminent dignitaries, cultural icons, and scholars.
The ₹150 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged in a booklet. It remains to be seen whether the Mumbai Mint will also release the Proof and UNC Sets in folder packaging, as well as the Proof Set in an MDF box.
The ₹150 Proof Set, packaged in a booklet, is priced at ₹1,500. With its issuance in Nickel Silver and its attractive pricing, this coin is expected to generate considerable excitement among collectors.
The ₹150 coin, issued on such a momentous occasion, is undoubtedly a prestigious addition to any collection—particularly for numismatists who cherish themes of national pride, heritage, and patriotism. These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.
