The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released a ₹100 commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the Birth Centenary of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba today, on November 19, 2025, at Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu; the Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Pawan Kalyan; Union Ministers, Shri K Rammohan Naidu, Shri G Kishan Reddy, Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Verma, cricket legend Shri Sachin Tendulkar; actress Smt. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; and several other eminent dignitaries.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the birth centenary celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi, calling it an emotional and spiritual experience. He began with “Sai Ram” and offered floral tributes at Baba’s Samadhi, noting that Baba’s teachings, love, and spirit of service continue to guide millions across more than 140 countries.

Shri Modi said the centenary year is a celebration of universal love, peace, and service, reflecting Baba’s ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He expressed pride in releasing the ₹100 commemorative coin and postage stamp in honour of Baba’s legacy.

The Prime Minister highlighted Baba’s core message of Seva, stating that whether one follows Bhakti, Gyan, or Karma, all paths lead to service. Baba’s maxims—Love All, Serve All, Help Ever, Hurt Never, and Less Talk, More Work—continue to inspire institutions working in education, healthcare, rural development, and humanitarian relief. He said their expanding work, even after Baba’s physical departure, proves that the influence of great souls only grows with time.

Shri Modi praised large-scale service initiatives of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, including drinking water projects, housing support, free hospitals without billing counters, and the opening of over 20,000 Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts for girls. He noted that nationwide, more than 4 crore such accounts exist with deposits exceeding ₹3.25 lakh crore.

He recalled Baba’s relief efforts during the Gujarat earthquake and said countless followers embody the principle Manav Seva hi Madhav Seva. Shri Modi also participated in a Gau Daan programme, where 100 cows were donated to poor farming families, highlighting the cultural and economic significance of cattle. He cited examples from Varanasi, Rwanda’s Girinka tradition, and Brazil’s adoption of Indian cattle breeds to show how compassion and science together uplift societies.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India is progressing with the spirit of Kartavya Kaal and urged everyone to strengthen the “Vocal for Local” movement. He said that buying local empowers families and supports the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Concluding, Shri Modi praised the unique spiritual energy of Puttaparthi and expressed confidence that Baba’s devotees will continue spreading hope, service, and compassion across the world.
