PM Modi Expected to Release ₹100 Coin on Shri Ram College of Commerce

The Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, is expected to release the ₹100 commemorative coin to mark the Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, on September 5, 2026, during his participation at the college campus in New Delhi, coinciding with Teachers' Day.

The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion. His participation is expected to make the occasion a truly historic and memorable moment for the students, faculty and entire SRCC and Delhi University community.

The Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) is one of India’s premier institutions for higher education in commerce, economics and related disciplines. Established in 1926, the college is affiliated with the University of Delhi and has developed a distinguished reputation for academic excellence and professional education.

The college has produced generations of distinguished alumni who have contributed to business, economics, finance, public administration, politics, academia and other fields. Its strong academic environment, vibrant student societies and emphasis on intellectual development have made it one of the most sought-after institutions in the country.

This expected release should mark the 10th or 11th commemorative coin of 2026, with the Ministry of Finance confirming its issuance through a gazette notification dated April 28, 2026. The ₹100 coin is reportedly being minted by the India Government Mint, Hyderabad. Additionally, several more commemorative coin releases are expected this year, as outlined in the upcoming and possibility section.
