Kolkata Mint Commences Bookings for Ahilyabai Holkar Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced the bookings for the ₹300  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  300th Birth Anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar . The bookings are open from September 9, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on May 31, 2025, the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, released a ₹300 commemorative coin in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mohan Yadav, the Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, along with other ministers and distinguished dignitaries. RBI Launches New Microsite for Banknotes

The Reserve Bank of India has announced the launch of a new microsite exclusively dedicated to Indian banknotes. The microsite is designed to serve as a one-stop platform for the public to explore, learn, and understand various aspects of the country’s currency in an interactive and user-friendly manner. According to the RBI’s press release dated September 10, 2025, the new microsite provides the public with access to a wide range of resources on banknotes. These include a 360-degree view that allows detailed exploration of their design and layout. To further enhance understanding, the platform incorporates multimedia features such as videos, audio guides, and animations that explain security features in a simple and engaging way.
