Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Panchatantra Coloured Souvenir

The India Government Mint, Kolkata has opened the bookings of the first coloured souvenir coin issued on Panchatantra - The Foolish Lion and The Clever Rabbit. The booking period is from February 27, 2022, to March 31, 2022, or until stocks last.

The souvenir proof coin comes with an attractive package and an appealing price of ₹1093. Earlier this month, Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman launched the souvenir coin on the occasion of the 17th Foundation Day of SPMCIL (Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited).

The said color souvenir is available at Kolkata Mint's Counter Sale at Mint Premises as well as on the official website of India Government Mint.

The package and price suggest that India Government Mint has significant plans and may introduce more tales of the Panchatantra theme to attract collectors and promote the hobby. The souvenir coin index has been updated to provide information on past and recent releases under one roof.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
