Govt Might Issue a ₹75 Coin on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

The Government of India has already notified on issuing the circulating coins of  ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10 and ₹20 on occasion of 75th Year of Independence.

As per the recent Mint Numismatic Meet 2022 held on 12th March 2022 at India Government Mint, Mumbai, there might be a ₹75 non-circulating coin introduced for collectors, in addition to the circulating coins. These coins are scheduled for release on 15th August 2022 by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the illustrious history of its people, culture, and achievements. This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India, who have not only played a crucial role in bringing the nation to its current stage in its evolutionary journey but also embody the power and potential to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of catalyzing India 2.0, driven by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March 2021, marking the beginning of a 75-week countdown to the 75th anniversary of independence. The celebration will conclude after a year on 15th August 2022.
