Mumbai Mint Opens Booking for ₹175 Coin of IIT Roorkee

The India Government Mint, Mumbai has opened the bookings for the commemorative coin of ₹175 issued to mark the 175 Years of Roorkee in Proof and UNC sets from December 1, 2022 to January 15, 2023. 

Earlier, the Hon'ble Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla released the ₹175 commemorative coin, postage stamp and coffee table book as part of the 175th year foundation day ceremony of IIT Roorkee on 25th November 2022 at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Roorkee.

The Proof Set is priced at ₹3,580 and the UNC Set at ₹3,065 when packaged in a Folder or Blister pack. For the Wooden Box or MDF package, the Proof Set is priced at ₹4,015 and the UNC Set at ₹3,730.

The commemorative coins are available at Mumbai Mint counters as well as at the India Govt. Mint official website. Please note that there will be convenience fees for ordering online. The Current and Upcoming Bookings section has been updated for your reference and information.

Hyderabad Mint Opens Bookings for Sri Sathya Sai Baba Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  Birth Centenary of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba . The bookings are open from November 19, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier in the day, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the commemorative coin and postage stamp to mark the event at Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. The Government of India will issue a ₹100  commemorative coin  to mark the ' Birth Centenary of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba '. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on April 22, 2025, confirming this coin. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was a revered spiritual leader and humanitarian, known for his teachings on love, unity of religions, and selfless service. Born in 1926 in Puttaparthi, India, he inspired millions through his message of "Love All, Serve All" and established numerous free hospitals, schools, and water projects to uplift humanity. His legacy continues to guide people worldwide in living a life of compassion, truth, and devotion. The  metal composition  of the ₹100 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc.
