NTR ₹100 Coin to be released on 28th April 2023

A grand event celebrating 100 years of Telugu icon Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, fondly known in the industry as NTR, is all set to take place at Anumolu Gardens, Vijayawada on April 28, 2023. A commemorative coin of ₹100 denomination will be released to mark this special occasion.

Shri N Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party, Superstar Rajinikanth, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shri S. Venkatanarayana will be the chief guests for the event. 

Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna, in a video, invited fans to come and be a part of the celebrations as well. He said, “The NTR centenary celebrations will take place on April 28th under the chairmanship of Janardhan, and it will be celebrated as a festival. Along with me, N Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party, and Rajinikanth will attend the event. You are all invited to join us and make it a grand success with your presence”.

This will be the seventh commemorative coin for the year 2023. A gazette notification was issued on 20th March 2023 by the Ministry of Finance on the issue of commemorative coin.

Update 28-April-2023: The commemorative coin was not released at the function. Keep you updated once the release date is finalised.

The Government of India will issue a  commemorative coin  of ₹90 on occasion to mark the 90 Years of Celebration of Reserve Bank of India . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on March 19, 2024, confirming this coin. RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
