Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Supreme Court Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has started accepting bookings for the commemorative coin issued to celebrate the '75 Years of the Supreme Court of India.' The bookings commenced today, August 31, 2024, and are subject to limited availability.

Earlier this morning, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the commemorative coin during the inauguration of the National Conference of the District Judiciary at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The ₹75 coin is available in various packaging options: the Folder/Blister packaging with the Proof Set is priced at ₹5,615, while the UNC Set is priced at ₹5,354. For those interested in the Proof Set with the MDF/Wooden Box, it is available at ₹6,181.

It is worth noting that the metal composition of the commemorative coin is made of pure silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm and 200 serrations along the edge.
