PM Modi to Unveil ₹150 Coin on Bhagwan Birsa Munda Ji

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Jamui, Bihar on 15th November to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

This marks the commencement of the 150th Birth Anniversary Year celebration of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda. At around 11 AM, Prime Minister will unveil a ₹150 commemorative coin and postal stamp in honour of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

The image above shows the proposed design of the commemorative coin, to be minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai. According to the gazette notification issued on November 12, 2024, by the Ministry of Finance, the ₹150 coin will be made of pure silver (99.9%) rather than a quaternary alloy and will weigh 40 grams instead of 35 grams.
