Hyd Mint Opens Bookings for Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹125  commemorative coin  issued to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee . The bookings are open from September 2, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on July 9, 2025,  the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, unveiled the ₹125 coin and postage stamp at Siri Fort Auditorium, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi, as part of the two-year commemoration being observed from July 6, 2025, to July 6, 2027. The ₹125 coin is currently issued in the Proof Set and UNC Set packaged with a Folder or Blister pack. Additionally, it is also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF box packaging option. New Commemorative Coin: Acharya Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj

The Government of India will issue a ₹150  commemorative coin  to mark the  150th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 1, 2025, confirming this coin. Acharya Shri Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj was a revered Jain saint known for his profound wisdom, spiritual leadership, and dedication to spreading the teachings of Lord Mahavira. Through his compassionate discourses and deep knowledge of Jain philosophy, he inspired countless individuals to live a life rooted in truth, non-violence, and self-discipline. His legacy continues to guide devotees on the path of righteousness and inner peace. The  metal composition  of the ₹150 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc.
