Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Sri Satyapramoda Tirtha Swamji Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for the ₹108  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  108th Birth Anniversary of Sri Satyapramoda Tirtha Swamji . The bookings began today, September 30, 2025, and are available in limited quantities. Earlier, on August 30, 2025, the Hon'ble Union Minister, Shri Pralhad Joshi (Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of India), unveiled the commemorative coin in the divine presence of Shri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji at Sri Uttaradi Math, Kachiguda, Bhagyanagar, Hyderabad. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Justice Shri P. S. Dinesh Kumar, Presiding Officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal and former Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Mumbai Mint Opens Bookings for Acharya Shri Mahapragya Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Mumbai, has opened bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the  105th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Shri Mahapragya . The bookings began today, September 23, 2025, and are available in limited quantities. Earlier, on August 17, 2025, in the presence of Jain Acharya Shri Mahashraman Ji, a commemorative coin was released during his Chaturmas at Koba, Ahmedabad. The event was graced by Shri Rajesh Kumar, Regional Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Sunil Singhi from Jain Vishwa Bharti and Jain Vishwa Bharti Sansthan, along with other distinguished dignitaries. The Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, unveiled a ₹100 commemorative coin on September 20, 2025, in New Delhi, to mark the completion of a decade of the Make in India initiative. Over the past decade, Make in India has transformed the country into a global hub for manufacturing, design, and innovation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the program has boosted domestic manufacturing, enhanced skills, attracted foreign investment, and fostered innovation. Between 2014 and 2024, India received USD 667 billion in FDI, nearly two-thirds of all inflows since liberalization. Kolkata Mint Re-Opens Bookings for Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has re-opened bookings for the commemorative coin issued to mark the ' 125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanda Ji Maharaj '. The re-bookings are open from September 15, 2025, with a limited stock available. The revised price for the Proof Set is ₹18,598. The Proof Set include coins of ₹100, ₹50, and ₹10 denominations. The initial bookings of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj set were opened on February 4, 2023, with a limited quantity of 500 sets priced at ₹6084. It seems that due to a shortage of planchets of 39 mm diameter with 22.5 grams quaternary alloy for the ₹50 denomination and the issuance of several other themes, the mint couldn't reissue the set for booking earlier. However, due to high demand among collectors, the mint has been forced to re-open bookings for this theme, although the pricing is approximately three times higher compared to the initial booking price. The ceremony took place today, on September 13, 2025, at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara, Guwahati. The Reserve Bank of India has announced the launch of a new microsite exclusively dedicated to Indian banknotes. The microsite is designed to serve as a one-stop platform for the public to explore, learn, and understand various aspects of the country’s currency in an interactive and user-friendly manner. According to the RBI’s press release dated September 10, 2025, the new microsite provides the public with access to a wide range of resources on banknotes. These include a 360-degree view that allows detailed exploration of their design and layout. To further enhance understanding, the platform incorporates multimedia features such as videos, audio guides, and animations that explain security features in a simple and engaging way. The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened the bookings for the ₹125  commemorative coin  issued to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee . The bookings are open from September 2, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. The Government of India will issue a ₹150  commemorative coin  to mark the  150th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on September 1, 2025, confirming this coin. Acharya Shri Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj was a revered Jain saint known for his profound wisdom, spiritual leadership, and dedication to spreading the teachings of Lord Mahavira. Through his compassionate discourses and deep knowledge of Jain philosophy, he inspired countless individuals to live a life rooted in truth, non-violence, and self-discipline. His legacy continues to guide devotees on the path of righteousness and inner peace. The  metal composition  of the ₹150 coin will consist of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc.
