Sri Ramanasramam Offering ₹100 Coins to Devotees and the Public
Sri Ramanasramam is offering the ₹100 commemorative coin issued to mark the Sri Ramanasramam Centenary to its devotees and the general public. The coins are being shipped directly from the ashram in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, on September 14, 2025, the commemorative coin was formally released by the President of Sri Ramanasramam, Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, at the Downtown Event Center, Fremont, California.
At present, the ashram is offering the ₹100 coin in Proof sets, packaged in a folder or blister pack, subject to limited availability. The ashram is charging ₹10,000 per Proof set, plus shipping charges. These can be availed by contacting the ashram at bookstall@gururamana.org or donations@gururamana.org.
Additionally, Sri Ramana Maharshi Heritage (SRMH) has begun accepting pre-orders for the coin, priced at $108 for delivery within the USA or in-person collection in Washington, D.C., and $125 for residents of Canada.
Although the pricing is higher compared to recent bookings of commemorative coins, enthusiasts and collectors who wish to add this issue to their collections may consider this option, as the India Government Mint, Mumbai may issue the coin at a higher price due to rising silver costs.
The commemorative coin has been minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai. The bookings for the Proof and UNC sets are expected to open later on the India Government Mint’s official website and will be updated under the current and upcoming bookings section once announced.
