PM Modi Expected to Release ₹75 Coin on Bharat Scouts and Guides
The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is expected to release a ₹75 commemorative coin to mark 75 years of the Bharat Scouts and Guides while inaugurating the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides on November 24, 2025, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh State Bharat Scouts & Guides is set to host the 19th National Jamboree — a week-long mega event that will bring together thousands of young scouts and guides from across India and abroad. The grand celebration will take place at Lucknow’s Vrindavan Scheme from November 23 to 29, 2025. The first National Jamboree in India was held in Hyderabad in 1953, while Uttar Pradesh last hosted the fourth edition in Prayagraj in 1964.
Now, six decades later, Lucknow will once again host this historic gathering. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, the state government is developing a gated Tent City equipped with world-class facilities to accommodate around 35,000 participants, ensuring their safety and comfort. The Chief Minister will host the event, which aims to channelise the energy of youth and spread the message of global brotherhood.
The Jamboree will feature a diverse range of adventure sports, scientific exhibitions, and cultural programs, while promoting the core scouting values of discipline, teamwork, self-reliance, and leadership. More than 32,000 participants are expected to attend, with the Prime Minister’s address being one of the most anticipated highlights of the event. Shri Narendra Modi also shares a long-standing association with the scouting movement, having attended the 2009 Jamboree in Ahmedabad as the Chief Minister of Gujarat during the centenary year of world scouting.
