2024 - 4th Numismatic Exhibit: Proof and UNC Sets

Exhibiting some of the Proof and UNC coin sets of Republic India from the collection at Nanya Darshini 2024, held from July 12th to 14th, 2024, at Shikshak Sadan, KG Road, Opposite Kaveri Bhavan, Nagarathpete, Majestic, Bengaluru 560002, was a pleasure.

Nanya Darshini 2024, a highly anticipated exhibition of coins, banknotes, stamps, and collectibles, was organized by the Karnataka Numismatic Society. This year's exhibition also celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the Karnataka Numismatic Society, established on August 6th, 1974.

The opportunity to showcase a selection of Proof and UNC coin sets from the Republic of India during this three-day exhibition was significant. Additionally, demonstrating the use of acrylic cases for preserving coin sets during display provided valuable opinions and insights from fellow collectors and senior numismatists.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Mr. Rajendra Maru, President, Mr. Suresh N.R, Secretary, and the entire Karnataka Numismatic Society committee team for generously affording the chance to exhibit the collection. Despite only 30 frames being available, managing to exhibit a single frame as participation was planned at the last moment has been personally fulfilling. This experience has also ignited a heightened enthusiasm for ongoing participation in upcoming exhibitions.

PM Modi Releases ₹200 Coin on Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtal

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released a ₹200 commemorative coin on Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal today, on November 11, 2024 through video conferencing. Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijay Rupani, attended the event. The Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav , celebrating the 200th anniversary of the temple, took place from November 7 and will continue till November 15.
