2024 - 5th Numismatic Exhibit: Proof and UNC Sets

Exhibited Proof and UNC Coin Sets featuring India's Independence Milestones theme at the Monthly Meeting of the Karnataka Numismatic Society (KNS) on August 18, 2024, at the Indian Institute of World Culture, B. P. Wadia Road, Basavanagudi, Bangalore.


Founded in 1974, the Karnataka Numismatic Society (KNS) brings together prominent figures in the field of numismatics as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds. KNS regularly organizes monthly meetings and talks. 

In 2024, KNS celebrated its 50th anniversary with the Nanya Darshini 2024 exhibition in July. Additionally, KNS resumed publishing its monthly newsletter, NanyaVarthe, with the August 2024 issue after a hiatus since January 2019.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all the committee members of the Karnataka Numismatic Society for providing the opportunity to repeatedly to showcase the collection.

PM Modi Releases ₹200 Coin on Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtal

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released a ₹200 commemorative coin on Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal today, on November 11, 2024 through video conferencing. Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijay Rupani, attended the event. The Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav , celebrating the 200th anniversary of the temple, took place from November 7 and will continue till November 15. This grand festival features devotional ceremonies, cultural programs, and spiritual discourses, drawing devotees from across the globe to honor the temple's rich heritage and its enduring influence on spiritual life.
