2025 - Acharya Shri Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj | Commemorative Coin

A commemorative coin of ₹150 will be issued to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj. The Ministry of Finance has issued the gazette notification on September 1, 2025.

Acharya Shri Jawahar Lal Ji Maharaj was a revered Jain saint, spiritual scholar, and orator whose life was devoted to the propagation of Jain philosophy, moral values, and non-violence. Renowned for his deep knowledge of Jain scriptures and his ability to communicate complex spiritual teachings in a simple and accessible manner, he inspired countless followers across India and beyond. Acharya Ji was not only a spiritual leader but also a reformer who emphasized practical application of Jain ethics in everyday life, particularly the principles of truth, non-possessiveness (aparigraha), and compassion towards all living beings.
