2023 - Eid Mubarak | Mint Souvenir Token

A silver souvenir token was issued on occasion of Eid Mubarak festival in 2023 from Kolkata Mint.

Eid Mubarak is an Arabic term that means “Blessed feast/festival'”. The term is used by Muslims all over the world. Internationally Muslims use it as a greeting on the feast. In the social sense, people usually celebrate Eid al-Fitr after Ramadan and Eid al-Adha in the month of Dhul Hijjah (the 12th and final Islamic month). Some state that this exchange of greetings is a cultural tradition and not part of any religious obligation.

Throughout the Muslim world there are numerous other greetings for Eid ul-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr. The companions of Muhammad used to say to each other in Arabic when they met on Eid ul-Fitr: Taqabbalallâhu minnâ wa minkum. Throughout the Muslim world, variations in Eid greetings exist.

The Government of India will issue a ₹60  commemorative coin  to mark the  Diamond Jubilee (60 Years) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited . The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on January 16, 2026, confirming this coin.
