2009 - Numismatic Society of India | Mint Souvenir Token

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, issued the souvenir token in 2009 to commemorate the Centenary Celebrations of the Numismatic Society of India. These tokens were made exclusively available at the Society’s Annual Conferences.

The Numismatic Society of India (NSI) is one of India’s oldest and most distinguished organisations dedicated to the study and advancement of numismatics. Established in 1910, the Society has played an important role in promoting the systematic study of coins, currency, medals, seals, inscriptions and related aspects of India’s monetary history.
