Hyderabad Mint Opens Bookings for Special AKAM Coin Pack

The India Government Mint, Hyderabad, has opened bookings for the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav coins in two special package. The bookings are open from July 14, 2023, and it is subject to limited availability.

The special pack contains all five denominations — ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10 and ₹20 — and is priced at ₹500 per set. Issued as part of the definitive coin series commemorating the 75th Year of Independence, this collection was introduced to highlight India’s journey through Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. 

It is important to note that the coins included in this pack are standard circulation strikes; they are not Proof or UNC quality sets, but rather regular issues presented in a specially designed commemorative package.

These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.

Kolkata Mint Commences Bookings for RSS Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the 100 Years of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The bookings are open from October 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on October 1, 2025, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the commemorative coin along with a special postal stamp to mark the event at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The ₹100 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged with a booklet pack. It remains to be seen whether the Mint will also issue the UNC Set with a booklet pack or the Proof Set with an MDF box.  The ₹100 coin is priced at ₹8,410 for the Proof Set, which comes packaged with a booklet pack.
