Shri Acharya Devvrat Releases Rs 1000 Coin on Khartargachha Millennium

The Hon'ble Governor of Gujarat, Shri Acharya Devvrat, released a ₹1,000 commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark the Khartargachha Sahastrabdi, marking the completion of its 1000 years of foundation by Jaincharya Shri Jineshwar Suri at Palitana on December 26, 2023.

The ₹1000 coin, released today, is minted by the India Government Mint, Kolkata, and comprises Pure Silver. It has a weight of 40 grams, a diameter of 44 mm, and features 200 serrations along the edge. 

This release marks the 17th commemorative coin for the year 2023 and the third coin with the denomination of ₹1000. Apart from this release, two more commemorative coins, dedicated to '125 Years of Ramakrishna Mission' and 'Dr. Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh' are scheduled for release in the coming days. 

The bookings are expected to open soon on the India Government Mint's website and will be updated in the current and upcoming bookings section.
