Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Delhi University Coins

The India Government Mint, Kolkata has opened the bookings for the ₹100 commemorative coin issued on 'Centenary Year of University of Delhi.' The booking period is open from May 18, 2022 to August 15, 2022.

On May 1, 2022, the Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, released the ₹100 commemorative coin, postage stamp, and centenary volume during the inauguration of the centenary celebrations of the University of Delhi on its 100th Foundation Day in New Delhi.

The commemorative coin in Proof Set is priced at ₹4532 and UNC Set at ₹4212 for the Blister/Folder packing. This is the fifth coin released based on the University theme after Banaras Hindu University, University of Mysore, Lucknow University and Harcourt Butler University which makes numismatists to collect theme based collection.

The commemorative coin is available at Kolkata Mint's Counter Sale at Mint Premises as well as at the India Govt. Mint official website. The Current and Upcoming Bookings section has been updated for your reference and information.

RBI Coin Sets Now Available at India Govt Mint's Delhi Counter

The ₹90  commemorative coin  issued to celebrate the  90 Years of Reserve Bank of India  (RBI) is now available at the Sales Counter at India Government Mint's Corporate Office in New Delhi. The ₹90 coin, featured in the Proof Set and offered in Folder/Blister packaging, is priced at ₹4950 as of April 18, 2024. However, online bookings for the commemorative coin have not yet begun, and there may be a difference in online pricing. It's important to note that the  metal composition  of this ₹90 coin is Pure Silver (99.9%), weighing 40 grams with a diameter of 44 mm. It also features 200 serrations along the edge. The ₹90 is minted by India Government Mint, Kolkata.
