These included anticipated themes such as the 75th Republic Day, Srimad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada, and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Birth Centenary. It also witnessed the long-awaited release of the commemorative coin honoring Sri Satguru Ram Singh Ji.

Looking forward to 2025, certain themes have already sparked anticipation among collectors. Coins dedicated to Bombay Stock Exchange, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj Ji, India Meteorological Department, Shri Harakhchand Nahata and BITS Pilani are expected to be released this year, as gazette notifications for these themes were issued in 2024 but the coins were not released. 300th Birth Anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar
Born on May 31, 1725, Ahilyabai Holkar was the Rajmata and later the ruler of Indore in the Maratha Confederacy. Known for her contributions to infrastructure, culture, and governance, she established Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh as the Holkar Dynasty’s capital. A commemorative coin for this milestone might even introduce the first ₹300 denomination coin.

Birth Centenary of Dr. M. S. Swaminathan
Celebrated as the “Father of the Green Revolution in India,” Professor M.S. Swaminathan played a pivotal role in transforming India's agricultural landscape. His Birth Centenary on August 7, 2025, might be honored with a ₹100 commemorative coin.

150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Known as the "Iron Man of India," Sardar Patel was instrumental in uniting over 550 princely states into the Indian Union. The government has launched a two-year nationwide celebration (2024–2026) to honor his legacy, making a commemorative coin a near certainty.

The Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, along with Jainacharya Shri Jin Piyush Sagar Surishwarji, will release commemorative coins and postage stamps to celebrate the 2900th Janm Kalyanak and 2800th Nirvan Kalyanak of the 23rd Tirthankara, Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan, at Bhopalgarh, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on December 25, 2024.
