Kolkata Mint Opens Bookings for Multiple Coin Themes

The India Government Mint, Kolkata has opened bookings for the commemorative coins issued on Paramahansa Yogananda, Vikram Sarabhai, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, and Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The bookings are available both online and offline until March 31, 2020.

All the commemorative coins under this release are issued in Folder/Blister packaging. The pricing details are as below:

In addition to these coins, India Post has also issued a Presentation Pack on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which includes the ₹550 commemorative coin, postage stamps, and a First Day Cover. This special set is available on the India Post website for ₹3,170, marking the second such release after the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

These coin sets can be purchased either at the mint premises or through the official website of the India Government Mint, with updates available in the current and upcoming bookings section.

Kolkata Mint Commences Bookings for RSS Coin Sets

The India Government Mint, Kolkata, has commenced the bookings for the ₹100  commemorative coin  issued to mark the 100 Years of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The bookings are open from October 7, 2025, and it is subject to limited availability. Earlier, on October 1, 2025, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the commemorative coin along with a special postal stamp to mark the event at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The ₹100 coin is currently available in the Proof Set, packaged with a booklet pack. It remains to be seen whether the Mint will also issue the UNC Set with a booklet pack or the Proof Set with an MDF box.  The ₹100 coin is priced at ₹8,410 for the Proof Set, which comes packaged with a booklet pack.
