New Commemorative Coin: Vande Mataram, the National Song of India
The Government of India will be issuing a ₹150 commemorative coin and postal stamp to mark the 150 Years of Vande Mataram , the National Song of India. Vande Mataram, the National Song of India, is a timeless ode to the motherland, symbolizing devotion, unity, and national pride. Written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875, the song beautifully personifies India as a divine mother, nurturing and sacred. Its powerful verses inspired countless Indians during the freedom movement, evoking deep patriotic fervor. Even today, Vande Mataram continues to resonate across generations, reminding every citizen of the eternal bond with the motherland and the spirit of selfless service to the nation.
