The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, along with Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, unveiled the ₹75 commemorative coin and a postage stamp to mark the 75th Anniversary of Constitution  at the Central Hall of Samvidhān Sadan in New Delhi. The Ministry of Finance issued the new gazette notification today, November 19, 2024, regarding the issuance of a commemorative coin for the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Harekrushna Mahtab , ahead of its release this week. The coin will now have a denomination of ₹125. However, this is not a rectification of the  earlier notification  issued on December 29, 2023, which mentioned a denomination of ₹100. The bookings commenced today, on November 15, 2024, and are subject to limited availability. The ₹250 coin issued on Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and the ₹75 coin issued on Central Silk Board (CSB) are available in Proof and UNC sets, with Folder or Blister packaging options. Additionally, both coins are also offered in a Proof Set with an MDF or Wooden Box. The ₹250 MDL coin in Folder or Blister packaging is priced at ₹4,290 for the Proof Set and ₹3,985 for the UNC Set. The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Jamui, Bihar on 15th November to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas .  This marks the commencement of the 150th Birth Anniversary Year celebration of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda . At around 11 AM, Prime Minister will unveil a ₹150 commemorative coin and postal stamp in honour of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The image above shows the proposed design of the commemorative coin, to be minted by the India Government Mint, Mumbai. According to the gazette notification issued on November 12, 2024, by the Ministry of Finance, the ₹150 coin will be made of pure silver (99.9%) rather than a quaternary alloy and will weigh 40 grams instead of 35 grams.
